Aims and Objectives

  • To act as the “Umbrella” body, representing the views, stands and interests of member associations and Indian Australian community on relevant community matters.

  • To act as the voice, and to represent Indian Australian community in NSW.

  • To work for advancement of interests of Indian Australian community in NSW.

  • To enhance the image and profile of the Indian Australian community in NSW.

  • To mentor and help new migrants of the community in their settlement process and other relevant matters.

  • To act as a port of call for support/guidance on any issue by the members of the Indian Australian community in NSW or of the community, if possible and practicable.

  • To reach out to all segments of the Indian Australian community to create an effective & productive network of Indian Australian community in NSW

  • To reach out to, and network with, organisations of Indian Australian community all over Australia to help create an effective & productive network of Indian Australian community in Australia.

  • To work co-operatively and proactively with all genuine stake-holders from the Indian Australian, other diverse communities and Governmental agencies in religiously & politically neutral way.

  • To network actively and productively with agencies of Govt of Australia and Govt. of India for the benefits of Indian Australian community in NSW.

  • To promote and organise benevolent activities in the community.

  • To promote Indian culture and festivals.

  • To lead and work with other groups towards establishment a key community Place with the name of “India House” or any other name in Sydney.

  • To work for the advancement of Australia-India relations.

  • To do everything and anything to achieve these goals or any other goal [s] which may be outlined in the future.
